What belt precision can 8sBason achieve?

Our HTD and GT timing belts maintain positioning accuracy within ±0.1 mm per meter of belt length. For ultra-precision applications, our AT profile belts achieve even tighter tolerances. Pulley bores are machined to H7 tolerance standard.

How do I eliminate backlash in my belt drive?

Backlash is minimized through three factors: (1) selecting HTD or GT curvilinear tooth profiles which seat more precisely than trapezoidal, (2) using proper belt tension within manufacturer specs, and (3) specifying high-precision pulleys with minimal runout. For zero-backlash requirements, we recommend dual-pulley tensioning systems.

What speed ratings do your timing belts support?

Standard HTD and GT timing belts operate reliably up to 40 m/s belt speed. Our high-speed line with aramid tensile cords supports up to 60 m/s. Maximum recommended RPM depends on pulley diameter — use our Belt Selector or consult our engineering team.

Can you supply custom pulley sizes and profiles?

Yes. We manufacture custom timing pulleys from 8 to 800 teeth in any standard or custom profile. Submit your drawing or CAD file via our RFQ page and receive a quote within 24 hours. Minimum order quantity for custom pulleys is 10 pieces.
