Taper bushing provides a secure, concentric fit on the shaft without keyway damage. It allows easy installation and removal, precise axial positioning, and can accommodate some shaft tolerances. The taper lock mechanism self-tightens under load for reliable performance.
All grooves in a multi-groove pulley are machined simultaneously to ensure concentricity and uniform pitch diameter. When using multiple V-belts, ensure they are from the same manufacturer and production batch for consistent length and performance.
For standard applications up to 1500 RPM, ISO G6.3 balance grade is sufficient. For high-speed applications (1500-3000 RPM), specify ISO G2.5. For very high speeds (>3000 RPM), ISO G1.0 may be required. Our standard pulleys are balanced to G6.3.
